The MVP Teleport is a 14.5-speed stable distance driver. With published flight numbers of 14.5 / 5 / -1.5 / 2.5, it is most often described as suited for maximum-distance flat s-curve drives for high-power arms, controlled hyzerflips on open holes.

Overview

The MVP Teleport is a GYRO overmold distance driver and the core mold of MVP’s 24.5mm class. MVP calls it “a straight-stable high-speed distance driver” whose design “produces a tight S-curve at high speeds, with plenty of stability to keep it headed toward its target.”[2] Like every MVP driver it uses the two-piece GYRO overmold, “a two-step molding process that allows the outer ring to be made with a heavier material.”[3] MVP rates it 14.5/5/-1.5/2.5,[2] and the PDGA measured the rim at 2.5cm, matching the class name.[1]

Flight numbers describe the published behavior of the disc when thrown at its design speed. Real-world flight varies with plastic, weight, age, and thrower power. The community-averaged numbers above reflect crowd-sourced observations from real throws — typically slightly more understable than the manufacturer's published values, which is the most consistent pattern across nearly every commercial mold.

The Teleport is a maximum-distance driver for players who already have the arm speed for a 14-speed. MVP’s own framing: “High-power throwers will get a controllable hyzerflip flight, while most players will need a flat release or headwind assistance for maximum flight potential,” and “Beginner throwers are encouraged to try slower classes for best results.”[2] Within its class MVP claims it “has the most distance potential for the most throwers in the core distance slot.”[2] Use it for long flat bombs and controlled hyzerflips.

Neutron

Plastic blend significantly affects flight character. Premium plastics like Champion, Z, or C-Line generally fly more overstable when fresh and hold their stability over time. Base plastics like DX, Pro, or Active beat in faster and become more understable workhorses with use.

History

The Teleport was approved on 13 April 2017 under certification 17-53.[1] MVP has never published a retail release date and no PDGA new-disc announcement exists for the mold, so 2017 is an approval year rather than a launch year. Retailer copy widely repeats that the Teleport was the first disc of MVP’s 24.5mm class, but the certification record does not support a clean claim: the Dimension carries the lower certification number, 17-50, and was approved on the very same day.[1] The Teleport survived MVP’s 29 August 2019 “Plan for 2020” cull, which retired fifteen molds — the only 24.5mm casualty was the Limit.[4] MVP lists only Neutron plastic for the mold.[2] Disc Golf Puttheads contradicts itself on the disc, describing the flight as “straight-to-stable” while its own taxonomy tag reads “Overstable.”[5] The four players listed here come from MVP’s own “Teleport in the Bag” table, which records their plastic and weight.[2]
